What are Schwartz Rounds?

Schwartz Rounds provide dedicated space for healthcare workers to discuss the emotional dimensions of their work, including both the challenges and the joys. Sessions are led by Schwartz Center-trained local facilitators and create open, reflective spaces where clinical and non-clinical staff can share experiences and build meaningful connections through dialogue.

A message from STH

A message from the STH Clinical Director and Schwartz Round Facilitator Dr Sheena Gibson

In September, Staffordshire Training Hub ran a very powerful Schwartz Round on Imposter Syndrome. The storytellers came from both nursing and medical backgrounds, and this diversity of clinical roles was especially important.

The session welcomed over 100 participants and the feedback was amazing. Dr Sam Reddy was so inspired by the brilliant storytellers that she wrote this beautiful poem.

Inspiring women

putting a smile on my face
regardless of race.
Taking up space
in Primary Care
irrespective of background or bank balance
by accepting the challenge
of walking alongside
their best friend…

the imposter within.
