It is important that the Trainee, Employer and allocated Supervisor[s] have a thorough understanding of the Advanced Clinical Practice programme requirements, levels of supervision and mandatory protected learning obligations needed for the duration of the programme. It is recommended that the Trainee, Employer, and Supervisor[s] discuss the expectations and commitment needed and how these can be realised within the organisation before commencing the application process. Higher rates of programme completion and reduced workforce attrition is seen when this is achieved.
