Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme
Supporting Primary Care Networks across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent to recruit, embed and develop a wider multidisciplinary workforce.
What is ARRS?
The Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS) is an NHS England initiative that enables Primary Care Networks (PCNs) to expand their multidisciplinary workforce by recruiting a wide range of healthcare professionals to support patient care.
Through the scheme, eligible employers can claim reimbursement for the salary and certain associated employment costs of approved ARRS roles, helping practices and PCNs increase workforce capacity, improve access to services and meet the growing healthcare needs of their local communities.
Supporting Primary Care Through Additional Roles
ARRS roles help Primary Care Networks bring additional skills, experience and capacity into general practice. These roles support patients to access the right professional at the right time, while helping practices develop more sustainable ways of working.
